June 24: Boho Chic and Fancy Free Collection

This week we are showing off our latest finds from the Boho Chic and Fancy Free Collection.I’m excited to give you a closer look at what’s new. We have some incredible finds from Accessocraft, Hobe, Kenneth Jay Lane and more.

We are also diving into the topic of why vintage American Made and Designed jewelry is so special.

Highlights include

• Mystery pieces! This week’s collection included an amazing vintage Hobe necklace which is very different from typical Hobe designs. Not only is this a fun piece to wear but it’s also a fun piece to talk about because at first glance it looks like the signature style and design associated with other well-known costume jewelers including Crown Trifari, Monet, and Napier. Did Hobe copy a competitor or was the piece designed in keeping with what was popular during the era? We might never know but it’s for sure fun to talk about and is also a perfect example of how designers' styles evolve throughout the decades.
• Fun finds perfect for summer including gold shell earrings from famed designer Kenneth Jay Lane, a fab gold shell necklace by Swarovski, and even some natural abalone turned into a pendant.
• And I give my tips on wearing solid colors with summery, boho chic jewelry including citrusy colors like the Nanette Lepore blouse I wore during the show. As always, I want you to know each piece I pick can be worn with what you wear everyday, there is no reason to save our pieces for a special occasion, today is the occasion.
